What a busy, crazy day. The Nook saw its official launch Wednesday afternoon. Xavion logged into Second Life for what seems like the first time in several days and we okay he set up the rent boxes. He really did a fantastic job on them. *Rubs her own ego* I did the graphic work. We set up the online indicators and paging system… the so very awesome ad board system and perfected the homey touches. So it’s my pleasure to announce officially here at SookieSlafford.com that The Nook Shopping Mall is officially open for accepting applications. We’re using hippoRENT which... Continue Reading

I was inspired this morning while I had the time, to perk up the website a bit. You probably won’t notice a lot of the new stuff – it’s mostly some fine tune gadgetry on my end but rest assured… it’s neat stuff to help bring you the best in this website. Of course well all know who the inspiration was seeing as my gadget obsessed partner rubs off on me quite often. *grin* In attempt to make this site run faster for you, I’ve installed some new cache systems. It should speed things up a bit and help wordpress... Continue Reading

It’s been a busy week and a half for me with the continued work on The Nook, the website and whatnot. I find myself drowning in nests at Jolly Farm to an almost depressing state. Sales suck – there’s just no denying it. It’s not even just the sales of the bunnies and nests themselves that has been slow to non-existent… my Xstreet sales have screeched to a halt. I looked at my sales records and they have steadily declined since the first of the month. I’m unsure why. Perhaps there are better alternatives to my products that have come... Continue Reading

Some people (like Dirk) have noticed that I haven’t posted in a week no wait, *gasp* it’s been 9 days.. I’m a BIG blogger, so not posting for so long generally means that something is going on. I promise, I haven’t forgotten about y’all nor am I dead. I’ve been blissfully busy working on a huge project with Xavion. Remember when I talked about how I’d been thinking of opening a club but I realized I had another dream in mind? And then I talked about a mall? Yeah that was only one post ago but here’s the link in... Continue Reading

I’m in a frustrating predicament. I thought a lot about the whole owning a club thing and I remembered just how much work it really was – and thankless work at that. There is little to no profit to be had in running a club and it’s just probably not a good idea – no matter how much it sometimes seems like it is. But while I still thought it was a good idea, I went club shopping and happened to find a club that had a large, matching mall – of which I fell in love with. And so... Continue Reading

EDIT: Okay, so the last title of this post (Won’t you please not be my neighbor) was… poorly worded at best. Before you read this, realize I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE living at Lionheart. Everything about there is UBER FANTASTIC. lol I am just a paranoid individual and ultimately I’m tripped out by what some people choose to spend money on land for. It doesn’t matter how much money you spend or how carefully you select where to place your business on Second Life… you’re always going to come across bad neighbors. The only way to really keep that from... Continue Reading

I have gotten request after request since I made my bunny backpacks for me to recreate them in a different pattern. I’ve gotten requests for everything from solid colors to “anything but plaid”. Since Vamp bunnies (black bunnies w/ red eyes) are increasing in popularity, I thought it a good time to create a more Gothic styled backpack – keeping the same structure and idea… but with a dark, grungy striped pattern. I made this set in 10 colors… Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Olive (Shown), Orange, Pink, Purple, Red and Teal. All 10 colors and a mega pack is also... Continue Reading
