Avatars United, the social networking site purchased by Linden Labs less than a year ago, officially closed today. With the close came promises of integrating social networking capabilities directly into the Second Life experience. But who really knows what that means, right? Avatars United may be closed, but it has really opened the doors for other sites like it. I get busy from time to time Sometimes I get super busy I’m always so damn busy and I find that I don’t always update this site as often as I’d like. I couldn’t resist temptation any longer. I went and did some crazy shopping for Halloween! I brought dragged Xavion kicking and screaming to go shopping with me for some decorations and then I spent a couple of hours throwing leaves, pumpkins and spooky ghosts around Jolly Farm. And then you know me… I took pictures! I had a little fun with light settings. Sooo enjoy!... Permalink

I’m on the hunt for a new location for Jolly Farm (nobody panic… I mean a satellite store). I used to have 6 locations total and now I’m down to 3 – one of which has been there for months and never makes a sale. *sigh* Last night, Dark Alice Designs closed for.. whatever reason. It’s a real shame, because I was actually making some decent sales in the most recent location. Now that location and the Sweet Serenity Breedables Market is gone, I definitely need another location. It’s only mid September, but I am absolutely itching to make Halloween products. But more than that, I think I’m excited that there’s finally a major holiday in which I can decorate Jolly Farm. I’m kind of worried about making products too early. How many people are actually thinking about Halloween right now? It’s kind of a little early for that… right? So I’m worried that if I make something and put it for sale on XStreet oh excuse me… SL Marketplace, the products won’t sell well for a while because no one is looking to buy Halloween themed stuff... It’s my 25th real life birthday today. I know, I know… you like so many others are probably thinking… “Wow, You’re only 25!?” Tis true. I wanted to thank everyone for the birthday wishes – both in world, on Twitter and on Facebook. It’s amazing how many messages one can get in a day from complete strangers just because it’s your birthday. It was totally awesome! Between in world IMs, emails, facebook wall posts and everything else, I had well over 100 happy birthday wishes! Holy crap people!!! Six months ago, I bought a small parcel of land at Lionheart Estate for Jolly Farm. At about 1,500 linden per week for the tier, it was out of my price range but it was a real investment for the business I had in mind and it was just too great a temptation. So on March 12, 2010 I bought my first parcel of land that would change my Second Life in ways I never imagined.
