It’s the “big day” and so I figured I should probably wear the pregnancy system that got all of this started. I haven’t worn it but a couple of times during my pregnancy for a laugh here and there because it’s just an unnecessary scripted attachment. And… it’s got one of those creepy and annoying Tummy Talkers – the thing that emotes your pregnancy for you.
For example…
[09:23] Sookie’s Tummy: Sookie is feeling hungrier than usual, since she has to eat for two now.
Wasn’t aware I was eating on SL at all, but okay!
[09:33] Sookie’s Tummy: Sookie giggles at the movment of the baby when her lover is around.
I love all of the misspelled words and typos this thing has.
So I’m fiddling with the settings on this thing, making sure we’re all ready to go for this evening when we plan to…….. well crap, I still don’t know exactly what we’re planning to do. But whatever it is we do, I know that we plan for the baby to arrive “around 6pm SL”. And that means I needed to be absolutely sure I had the due date settings right on this tummy.
Come to find out… sure enough, I had the settings wrong. Figures. For whatever reason, this belly has it’s own sense of time. It doesn’t run based on whatever time it is for me or even Second Life time (PST). It just seems to have its own internal clock. For me, this happens to be an hour behind SL time. Great. So I changed some settings and my due date is set for 2010-09-04 14:00:00 which translates into 2pm… except it’s really 3pm. What a mess.
I don’t know if the due date means – that’s when the baby is gonna come flying out of my nether regions or if that’s when my water breaks. Oh yes, the water REALLY breaks AND makes noise because well… I had to test this! All I know is that when my water breaks, I have it set to have the baby in 20 minutes.
I plan to wear the belly all day today. So yes, there will be tummy talking. I know, y’all will probably cringe. Sorry! It’s just one day! The tummy is also set to have contractions all day, every 30 minutes. Fun.
I’ll keep y’all posted. In the meantime…
[09:43] Sookie’s Tummy: Sookie is hoping for a smooth and easy delivery.

Point the first: if people didn’t eat in SL, I wouldn’t have a-one parcel, let alone five.
Point the second: Talking tummies need to talk MORE! http://mistletoeethaniel.wordpress.com/2009/02/07/671/ .
Wait.. wait.. this is HILARIOUS. Okay, I read your post and I sooo agree with the cutesy messages. They annoy me. I’ve had children, and by the end you’re leaking all over the place from multiple places, peeing constantly, scratching your belly because the skin is stretch and it itches, etc etc. But this may amuse you…
10:22] Sookie’s Tummy: Sookie feel her contractions !!!
[10:22] Sookie’s Tummy: Sookie Try to relax your entire body.
[10:22] Sookie’s Tummy: Breathe with deep, slow breaths, raising your belly up off your uterus.
[10:22] Sookie’s Tummy: Inhale through your nose, exhale through your mouth.
[10:22] Sookie’s Tummy: Continue slow breathing between contractions.
Yes, get that belly off your uterus.
