In a sad turn of events, Clover Windlow has resigned from her position as Chairwoman of the Lionheart Estate Chamber of Commerce, leaving it’s 63 members without a leader. The natural actions are set in motion to likely instate me as the replacement Chairwoman so that I can pick up where Clover left off.
A proposal has been created within the Chamber of Commerce group which allows its members to vote “Yes” if they agree to me being initiated as Clover’s successor or “No” if they want us to have a whole new election (assuming anyone else even wants to run against me). Should the simple majority of the group say “Yes”, I will be enlisted as the CoC Chairwoman effectively immediately and will oversee the already scheduled CoC meeting on October 16th.
My role within the Chamber of Commerce will actually not change much aside from holding the title and face as I have already been active behind the scenes working on the LH CoC Winter Carnival Hunt – a Lionheart Estate wide hunt that will run its course during the Winter Carnival festivities. And of course, I will be implementing the ideas and concepts I proposed prior to the election including providing our merchants with the proper tools needed to make their business truly take shape and flourish. This means a lot of classes and/or meetings to discuss topics such as Understanding Land Options & Tools, Basic Marketing, Classifieds, Social Media Marketing (Twitter/Facebook/etc), Affiliate Vendors and Satellite locations.
October is pretty mapped out for events and meetings around Lionheart Estate so I will be scheduling a variety of CoC related meetings in November – offering up my time to its members for discussions on the above topics, ideas of what else they would like to cover and workshops they would like to have. We’ve sadly already wasted so much time so at first, there will be a burst of activity so that we can “catch up” to my overall plans and goals for the election term.
…of course, this is all assuming the proposal votes swings in the “yay’ by October 12th and I’m made Chairwoman.
