If you have a Facebook profile for your Second Life avatar, chances are that you woke up today with your account having been deleted due to Facebook’s TOS rule which basically doesn’t allow for profiles with “fake” information.
If you’re one of the affected and still want a Facebook presence (and you should), you can instead learn how to create a Facebook page as a “Fictional Character” and make your real life account the admin. This is a legal way to continue using Facebook as a social network for Second Life.
…or you can just follow this week’s newest trend
Remember how in March 2010, I blogged about 2ndhub.com and even eventually became staff in October 2010? Remember how many times I Tweeted about 2ndhub and even Plurked about it in attempts to gain exposure for the site? Remember how I was totally ignored and hardly anyone signed up?
…well I sure as hell remember it and yes, I’m a tad bitter
Since Facebook has rained on our virtual parade, apparently 2ndhub.com has become the trend. So many people have signed up for 2ndhub in the last 24 hours, I can’t keep up. It’s practically going viral in terms of how trends in Second Life work. Big name Plurkers and Bloggers such as Strawberry Singh, Luna Jubilee, Harlow Helsop, Sixx Yangtz and soooo many more have signed up and are actively turning into Hubbers!
It’s sort of funny to watch. I’ve never been ahead of a trend before. I joined 2ndhub a couple of days before establishing Jolly Farm Bunnies & Stuff, the business I’m best known for. It was a large part of my success and has been apart of my Second Life for a very long time. I’m looking forward to seeing how all of these new members use the site and how it may affect business.

Don’t be bitter. Things are never “cool” to do in SL until all the “cool kids” are doing it.
