It’s not that I can’t believe I’ve been on Second Life for 2 years today – it’s that I can’t believe it’s only been 2. I started forming a post a few days ago and was going through pictures of my avatar taken in the last 12 months just like I did last year and I was amazed at how much has happened… how many memories had… how many friends lost… and how many friends unfortunately never gained. In a virtual world where things change completely over the course of 24 hours, you never really have the chance to slow... Continue Reading

Today, I received an unexpected comment on my blog. I mean, I get so few of them anyways that aren’t spam for penis enlargement (seriously, what are you trying to tell me spammers!?). The comment while so short and simple, it really touched me and made me realize that as hard as it is, I really need to come back to this blog and update it. My last post was marked January 24th and I basically fell off the blogging bandwagon. The truth is, I got insanely busy with other things – both in real life as well as Second.... Continue Reading

I was planning a rather extensive post to re-vist 2010, but really, I think it’s summed up so much better in pictures. These are some of my favorite pictures / moments from 2010. Looking back on them, I’m a bit saddened to see how many pictures I took alone. I’m not sure what that says about my Second Life. Most of my pictures involved Jolly Farm and my bunnies. I think next year, I need to make a habit of taking more pictures with my friends… At the original Jolly Farm Taken at The Cottage Xavion and Sookie at The... Continue Reading

Holy crap y’all… did I seriously forget to do my weekly ‘Shit I Did When I Wasn’t Here’ post!? Okay, okay… in all fairness, I was seriously busy and distracted due to my sleep study Tuesday night. Let’s catch up.. shall we? Jolly Farm Can we say BUSY!? I’m cranking out the winter / Christmas products as fast as I can. This includes a free item coming soon in Lionheart’s winter inspired hunt, The Gift of Frost. Nope, I won’t tell you what it is. Just know that it’s totally cute! The winter products will hopefully be released tomorrow and... Continue Reading

It’s been a great week full of awesome and exciting things! I always feel like I accomplished nothing, but when I look back on the week and I write out this post… I realize I really got a lot done! It’s time for Shit I Did When I Wasn’t Here! Jolly Farm The 2nd Oziversary celebration started this week. It hasn’t brought in the sales I’d hoped. In comparison to the Strawberry Festival, it seems like it’s been less promoted by Ozimals and there are less people doing the Over the Rainbow Hunt. Nevertheless, I’ve gotten some very nice messages... Continue Reading

I did something pretty crazy… something I told myself earlier this year that I absolutely would not do. I opened a club. I know what you’re thinking… Ugh, another club in Second Life? You’re right. It’s totally just another club. It probably won’t ever make a profit. But the beauty of it all is that it doesn’t have to. I expect it to never make a dime. I bought land a while back so that I could open a clothing, skins, makeup type store using my alt account. Trouble is, the computer I’m using can’t really handle the type of... Continue Reading

Six months ago, I bought a small parcel of land at Lionheart Estate for Jolly Farm. At about 1,500 linden per week for the tier, it was out of my price range but it was a real investment for the business I had in mind and it was just too great a temptation. So on March 12, 2010 I bought my first parcel of land that would change my Second Life in ways I never imagined. I worked a hostess job at two different clubs (Club Industry and Sinful Moon) in order to afford my tier. I did this for... Continue Reading

It’s been a busy week and a half for me with the continued work on The Nook, the website and whatnot. I find myself drowning in nests at Jolly Farm to an almost depressing state. Sales suck – there’s just no denying it. It’s not even just the sales of the bunnies and nests themselves that has been slow to non-existent… my Xstreet sales have screeched to a halt. I looked at my sales records and they have steadily declined since the first of the month. I’m unsure why. Perhaps there are better alternatives to my products that have come... Continue Reading

I’m in a frustrating predicament. I thought a lot about the whole owning a club thing and I remembered just how much work it really was – and thankless work at that. There is little to no profit to be had in running a club and it’s just probably not a good idea – no matter how much it sometimes seems like it is. But while I still thought it was a good idea, I went club shopping and happened to find a club that had a large, matching mall – of which I fell in love with. And so... Continue Reading
