It’s not that I can’t believe I’ve been on Second Life for 2 years today – it’s that I can’t believe it’s only been 2. I started forming a post a few days ago and was going through pictures of my avatar taken in the last 12 months just like I did last year and I was amazed at how much has happened… how many memories had… how many friends lost… and how many friends unfortunately never gained. In a virtual world where things change completely over the course of 24 hours, you never really have the chance to slow... Continue Reading

I am addressing you today not just as a fellow Lionheart merchant, nor as the current elected Chamber of Commerce Chairwoman, but more importantly as a hard working, Second Life business owner with the desire to see my fellow business owners and myself succeed and earn profit from our businesses. The Lionheart Chamber of Commerce (CoC) elections are just around the corner and the opposing candidates have been officially announced. This means that you can expect a lot of campaigning as these two residents try to convince you that they are best to hold the elected position of Chamber of... Continue Reading

Oh look at me and all my new stuff. I love Truth. In fact if you follow along with me on 2ndhub, you know that I recently bumped into Truth Hawks and felt the awesome which irradiated from his avatar onto those present. Too bad I fell into fan-girl mode and was too nervous to even say hello. I was in awe, okay? Besides… he was almost like a mirage and vanished as quickly as he appeared. Maybe I was hallucinating… hmmm Anyways. Truth has new hair. I’m a little concerned because to my knowledge, he’s not created a hairstyle... Continue Reading

I’ve gotten a lot of emails, private plurks and in-world messages asking me questions about my blog. So much, that I am inspired to write a post answering some of the ones I’ve been asked frequently and to talk a little bit about my websites overall. What website are you using to blog with? I use self-hosted WordPress software (which you can download from WordPress.org) for all of my websites, including this one and other sites I own or maintain such as KittyCattery.biz, JollyFarmOnline.info or TheAlluringArtist.com What is self-hosted WordPress? Oh, you mean you have your own domain? Well, yes... Continue Reading

Today we announce Kitty Cattery – The Last Call. All products are still 50% off and we have marked down all KittyCatS. After this sale ends on May 29th, we will pull the current... Continue Reading

“I never thought I’d be so eager to find rotten bananas”, I thought to myself today as I sighed and searched around the sky dome I’d set up specifically for my Meeroos for the gifts of trash they’ve been leaving for me. I’ll never forget when I first heard of virtual pets – let alone the fact that they could breed and you had to spend money to keep them alive. I thought they were stupid and I knew I’d never get into anything like that. I was introduced to Ozimals bunnies and I swore those off too… for a... Continue Reading

Stealing things using the internet is practically as old as the internet itself. Perhaps that’s why so many people are comfortable with it. Actions such as saving pictures from someone’s website (which Google images has only made easier), ripping full scale websites and coding, pirating software and downloading videos are extremely common and have practically become the norm. I’m not going to lie and say that I haven’t done some of the above – the majority of us on the internet have. It’s so easily forgotten that someone spent a lot of time working on something whether they took the... Continue Reading

If you have a Facebook profile for your Second Life avatar, chances are that you woke up today with your account having been deleted due to Facebook’s TOS rule which basically doesn’t allow for profiles with “fake” information. If you’re one of the affected and still want a Facebook presence (and you should), you can instead learn how to create a Facebook page as a “Fictional Character” and make your real life account the admin. This is a legal way to continue using Facebook as a social network for Second Life. …or you can just follow this week’s newest trend... Continue Reading
