There have been countless blog posts, tweets, plurks and… +’s(?) about Google+ and the “identity crisis” as it’s been often coined. G+ has been suspending accounts (mostly on a temporary basis) for one reason or another – but seemingly most related to the account’s potential to be fraudulent because of a “fake” name being used. It started with an avatar named Opensource Obscure and has claimed the G+ accounts of many Second Life users, myself included (albeit temporarily). You’d probably think that of all people I could understand the outcries of our virtual community, but truthfully… I’m kind of sick... Continue Reading

This is a more serious post. I’m sorry to have to get sort of emo on my readers. I hope it’s not too much of a turn-off. I’m writing about all of this because I’m not very good at keeping promises to myself. But I am good at keeping my promises made to others. I know that by saying all of these things in public, I’ll be much more likely to hold myself accountable for my words. I came to Second Life with a clear purpose. I wanted to make virtual products and sell them. Like most people, I got... Continue Reading

Today marks the first day of the week of this week’s prop challenge! This week, the prop is a Television. The objective of the challenge is to include a Television in your image in some way. Week 6 of 52: Yellow I dragged my feet and I didn’t want to do this color. Yellow? Ugh. I didn’t own any yellow. Okay, so I had Goldenrod, but obviously I didn’t want to reuse the outfit. Thanks to my friend Alia, I did some quick shopping and for super cheap (like, ridiculously cheap) I grabbed the perfect shirt for this week’s color! Okay, so the season is a bit off, but hey… it’s warm and sunny somewhere, right!? I’m really having fun designing backgrounds for my pictures. It’s so rewarding! Hair: Midori – Streaked Chocolate by TRUTH Skin:... Continue Reading

I went shopping at this 20L Red sale at R.Icielli earlier tonight and picked up a couple of items. I started getting dressed and well… I’m really not the most fashionable avatar on the grid and I had no idea what to wear with the jacket I’d gotten. As I pieced items together, I realized how much my avatar looked like Michael Jackson and couldn’t resist buying a Fedora hat and going all out for a picture. Special thanks to my friend Alia Whitfield of Jersey Girl (coming soon) who created this pose especially for this picture. She’s pretty damn... Continue Reading

I know not all of my readers know me on a personal level. For those of you who don’t, I’ve been waiting to have a sleep study done to determine why I am so tired all of the time – why I’m nodding off and practically passing out just a couple of hours after having a full night’s sleep. Last night, I had that study. I was really nervous about it. I’ve only ever slept in a hospital when giving birth and that’s scary enough to me in itself. But I knew I’d be hooked up to wires and machines... Continue Reading

If you’re a good little reader and you pay any attention at all, you know that September 18th is the next Howdy Neighbor Day at Lionheart Estate. And if you didn’t know, well… I suppose I can forgive you this time. But you should really check out my Calendar at the bottom of the page. Anyways, so I’ve probably explained it a gazillion times now but, What exactly is Howdy Neighbor Day? It’s basically an opportunity for Lionheart Estate residents (no matter if they are a residential or commercial parcel owner) to gather together to meet one another and say... Continue Reading

Today I look back on a year of Second Life – friendships forged, memories made, chapters opened and closed. Each stage holds a special place in my heart – even the not so positive experiences. Chances are if you’ve been apart of my Second Life in the last year, you’ve been in some way apart of my real life as well. Each person I’ve met has touched my life in some way and I hope you know just have grateful I am for that. Happy rez day to me – July 19, 2010. And now for something kind of fun…... Continue Reading

A Note Before Reading As you read this, you’ll probably wonder why I’m sharing these details – especially since they’re not all positives. Well, I believe in being honest about my businesses and honest to those who wish to involve themselves with them. It’s not all glitz and glamor and businesses have bad weeks just as easily as they have good ones. In light of that honesty and my attempts to be realistic…. Affiliation I know I promised that the affiliate stuff would be completed this week. Little did I know that the week had flown by so fast and... Continue Reading
