It’s been a busy past couple of weeks since it was announced that the most recently elected Lionheart Chamber of Commerce Chairman had resigned and that elections for a replacement would be held. As every time before, those interested in campaigning for the position were to express that interest by a certain deadline (in this case, August 14th) along with a picture of their avatar, a little about themselves as well as their vision for the Chamber of Commerce. What is the Chamber of Commerce? The Lionheart Chamber of Commerce (CoC) is an estate owned and resident-govered group at Lionheart... Continue Reading

It’s not that I can’t believe I’ve been on Second Life for 2 years today – it’s that I can’t believe it’s only been 2. I started forming a post a few days ago and was going through pictures of my avatar taken in the last 12 months just like I did last year and I was amazed at how much has happened… how many memories had… how many friends lost… and how many friends unfortunately never gained. In a virtual world where things change completely over the course of 24 hours, you never really have the chance to slow... Continue Reading

So much of my time in Second Life is spent promoting my current Second Life business, Kitty Cattery or working at Lionheart Estate that I apparently forgot to promote the one thing I do more in real life than those two things combined. It’s amazing to me how many people didn’t know that I am a freelance graphic artist for a living. I don’t know why I just expected everyone to know that. Oops! Now that the cat is out of the bag (haha, see what I did there? Kitty Cattery… cat… *ahem*), I have taken time to share a bit... Continue Reading

Today, I received an unexpected comment on my blog. I mean, I get so few of them anyways that aren’t spam for penis enlargement (seriously, what are you trying to tell me spammers!?). The comment while so short and simple, it really touched me and made me realize that as hard as it is, I really need to come back to this blog and update it. My last post was marked January 24th and I basically fell off the blogging bandwagon. The truth is, I got insanely busy with other things – both in real life as well as Second.... Continue Reading

Six months ago, I bought a small parcel of land at Lionheart Estate for Jolly Farm. At about 1,500 linden per week for the tier, it was out of my price range but it was a real investment for the business I had in mind and it was just too great a temptation. So on March 12, 2010 I bought my first parcel of land that would change my Second Life in ways I never imagined. I worked a hostess job at two different clubs (Club Industry and Sinful Moon) in order to afford my tier. I did this for... Continue Reading

If you’re into reading my blog, you’ve probably noticed that it’s been a while since I posted. Things have been hectic and everything has been changing so fast. Jolly Farm There’s so much to talk about that I don’t even know where to begin. I guess I’ll start with the website first. I’m pretty sure I’ve talked about it a little in prior posts but in case I haven’t… I started a website for Jolly Farm. But it’s not just about my business… it’s about Ozimals in general as well. Here’s the URL: http://www.jollyfarmonline.info It’s sort of a mixture of... Continue Reading

Has it really been a week since I posted? Time truly flies. Fear not, for I do come with a substantial post full of good news, changes and oh yes… even pictures! Jolly Farm is ever expanding and it’s very important to me that I stay on the cutting edge of what’s “hip” and new in the Ozimals Community. So it should be no surprise that with the Ozimals 1.3 update coming today June 22nd at 12:00 SLT, I’ve been running around like a crazy person as I try to reorganize my business and prepare. There will be all new... Continue Reading

I discovered last night just how shady people can be on Second Life – especially if they feel in the slightest bit betrayed because things didn’t go their way and they don’t get what they want and think that they deserve. I apologize in advance for the long, drama-filled post. Jolly Farm is surrounded by clubs right now. It’s much to my displeasure but hey, I’ve had crazy neighbors before that I’ve lived through and I have no doubt I’ll get through living with the ones I have now. Strangely enough, I have lived through having a club behind Jolly... Continue Reading
